Ethics Workshop-Summer 2002

The primary goal of the Murdough Center is to increase the awareness of an engineer's professional and ethical responsibilities.

The Murdough Center encourages and promotes professional programs and activities emphasizing engineering ethics. The center conducts symposia, workshops, and seminars throughout the state and nation for industry, professional societies, and academic institutions. With the ratification of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) the center has begun working with engineers in Canada and Mexico to develop a basic understanding and appreciation of mutual interests in principles of conduct and ethics as they relate to professional engineering practice.

The center has a strong base of support and encouragement from private donors, state agencies, national professional societies, industries, and foundations. The primary goal of the Murdough Center is to increase the awareness of the engineer and the student engineer of professional and ethical responsibilities to the profession and the public.
